| 1. How far away from the city is East Melbourne and Knightsbridge Apartments? |
| We are about 1km from the heart of the CBD. It takes about 20 minutes to walk or there is public transport (Tram) just arround the corner that goes along Flinders Street, about a 10 minute trip. |
| 2. Are you in walking distance to the MCG? |
| We are about a 5 minutes walk to the MCG and about 15 minutes from the Rod Laver Tennis Centre and Vodafone Arena. |
| 3. Are there any Restaurants close by? |
| We have a selection of Restaurants, cafe's and Takeaways just a short stroll from the front door of our building. |
| 4. Is there any shopping in your area besides the City centre.? |
| We are in walking proximity of Bridge Road, which has some factory outlet shops, boutiques and Restaurants. One can also take the tram along Bridge Road. |
| 5. Can one cook in the rooms? |
| Each of our units have a small kitchenette, these comprise of a small fridge, 2 burner hotplate, sink, microwave and all the cuttlery and crockery. |
| 6. Where can I get groceries? |
| We have a 7-Eleven store just arround the corner, and there are 2 other convenience stores in close proximity. Each of the stores are open 7 days and provide groceries, takeaway items and household items. |
| 7. Is there transport to and from the Airport ? |
| VHA Airport Shuttle (Melbourne Airport to Knightsbridge) ~$25 1 PAX and ~$30 2 PAX one way: Book online or give them a call [www.vhaairportshuttle.com.au] or you can call them on OFFICE 03 8566 8522/WHATSAPP +6148 195 2003. They have limited hours of operation, from early morning (5am) to evening only (10pm) subject to change. They will pick you up from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport and drop you off at the front door of your Knightsbridge apartment. Or SKYBUS (Melbourne Airport to Sothern Cross Station): [www.skybus.com.au] www.skybus.com.au Phone 03 9600 1711 24 hour service, which may be more suitable for those arriving at the airport early. They will pick you up from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport and drop you off at Southern Cross train station bus terminal. From there, you can either catch a taxi in front of the station or take public transport, depending on when you arrive at Southern Cross Station. |
| 8. Are there any attractions in your area? |
| We are very close to the Fitzroy Gardens, a large and tranquil park, dividing East Melbourne from the City centre. One can take a stroll or visit Captain Cooks 'Cottage' or have afternoon tea at the cafe located in the heart of the Park. The Royal Botanic Gardens are also within walking distance from our property, a great place to unwind and check out a great selection of fauna and events. One can also take guided tours of the MCG which is just 2 minutes from us or come and watch a AFL football match on the weekend. |
| 9. Parking |
| Parking Information Parking is very limited and available on a first-come, first serve basis and, depending on demand for your booking dates, is subject to a $10 per night charge. If on-site parking is unavailable, there are several public car parks within a 9-minute walk, which our team will be happy to direct you to upon arrival. Please contact the hotel if you are planning on bringing a car and we can provide further information and help you plan your parking accordingly. |
